My First ABC App teaches recognition of Uppercase Alphabets and is based on discrete trial part of ABA intervention to children on autism spectrum and a part of Shanesh COLORS Autism series apps. Like this many other apps are uploaded by Shanesh Colors on Google android market & App store which are free for download. The animations used in this app are high definition 3D animations which give realistic feel. This app also helps with generalization of receptive skill. The colorful screens and animations help stimulate attention making the learning more effective. The audio and animated rewards after the correct responses act as positive reinforcers.

This is just not only applicable to spectrum but also to anyone in this world.
Nice article.
Thanks for posting.
Good things need to be reminded often, but bad things come naturally!

As of late my attention is being diverted to the awful problem of autism in America that has increased dramatically over the past two decades (exceeding 1% of children). My cousin and some friends have children and grandchildren afflicted variously with this awful condition. There is certainly reason to incriminate the immunizations that are being ever more widely adopted, yes even enforced by government. My cousin is convinced that this is so because in his grandchild's case the symptoms began only 18 hours after the child received the immunizations. He was completely normal beforehand. Children with certain genotypes appear to be more susceptible, but the focus of research should be on the medications t! ! hemselves. I don't think that this is being done adequately. One cannot eliminate the immunizations, as this would cause a much greater death toll among children. Determining which children are more apt to contract the disease would result in them not receiving the medication and this would in turn cause havoc in public health as parents would not wait to have their children tested to reveal their genotype. Drug companies are not inspired to do the necessary research under the current system of profit motive.

          When I wrote this to my friend Dr. Catherine Acholonu of the Igbo Tribe in Nigeria, she noted that her sister who lives in Los Angeles has two daughters with autism. In Nigeria they use a sound treatment for autistic cases. She replied the following:

= = = = = = =
From Catherine Acholonu:  ikomgram@yahoo.com

Website = http://www.faculty.ucr.edu/~legneref/igbo/ogam.htm

Discussions on treatment for autism:

          I have many USA connections and because of my sisters triplets I have heard much about autism and about its being connected with immunization outside the system. Most parents believe this and your own niece's case makes it all too apparent. Inoculations are derived from viruses injected with chemicals to weaken them enough to not cause disease but to induce the production of resistance antibodies in the body. Now when you immunize with many of these treated viruses in quick succession, don't you think the body of a young child is laden with not only too many viruses and foreign bodies to deal with, but also the chemicals will weaken the normal functions of the nervous system and other body functions?

          Anyway the sound that I have is a correctional kind of sound. It works in the subliminal currents of the body, mind and nerves and slowly repairs the system. It is nothing magical, but a bit miraculous

          We have these vaccines here but they are spaced out, and sometimes it takes up to three years to complete. My three and four year old grand children just completed theirs.

Hi, thankyou for the great article, but when I went to the Autism Research Institute site, I could not find how much to give our daughter, who is 5. Can you be more specific as to where to find this information? The Autism Research Institute site is HUGE. This is very frustrating.
thanks.

This only applies where the DSM (Diagnostic Statistical Manual) is used in preference to the ICD (International Classification of Diseases).
In most of the world the ICD is used in preference to the DSM.
